For 20 years, I have been fascinated with shopper DNA and how this intersects with the ever-changing retail environment. Brands and retailers are no longer in charge - the shopper is, and with the latest advancement in AI, I am able to discover, develop, target, focus on, and perform more in the retail space than I could ever have imagined.  

 

I have run retail sales and marketing teams for large global corporates and, over the past 17 years, owned and run
retail-based creative agencies across the continent.

I hail from a small mining village in Wales, Pontypridd to be precise.

 

After moving to London, I spent ten years at various agencies working on brands such as Stella Artois, Fortnum & Mason, Mothercare, Guinness and Dulux. My final stint was at DesignBridge, a multi-award winning design specialist which has since expanded internationally.
 

In 2003, I moved to Cape Town and dived into freelancing with Ogilvy, King James, Gloo, and other independents before joining TBWA Cape Town, focusing on Woolworth’s and The Waterfront. As Creative Director at 34°,
I led retail and creative development until 34° was acquired by King James, which was later acquired by Accenture Song. It was here that I also fulfilled the role as Creative Director for numerous high-profile clients, picking up a few awards along the way.
